There is no single price per kilometre for a remis: it changes by city, by time of day, by company, and by whether the ride is within town or long distance. That is why asking "how much is the kilometre" is rarely enough to know what you will pay. What actually helps is the total for the ride, and that is what MoviSur shows you before you confirm.
Why the kilometre is not a fixed number
In Argentina, remis fares are not set nationally. Each municipality and each company runs its own rates, and several extra factors get added to the distance:
- A flag-fall or minimum fare, charged even for a short ride.
- Time of day, with surcharges at night, at weekends or on public holidays depending on the company.
- Waiting time, when the car has to wait for you.
- The return leg, on trips out of town where the driver comes back empty.
With all that, two rides of the same distance can cost quite different amounts. And you find out when you get out.
What MoviSur does differently
The app does not give you the formula: it gives you the result. You type where you are going, the number appears on screen, and that is what you pay. It does not change during the ride and no surcharges appear at the end.
You choose how to pay on the same screen: cash, card or digital wallet.
What this means for the driver
A fixed price does not mean it is cheaper for the passenger at the driver's expense. 95% of every ride goes to the driver; MoviSur keeps 5%.
You can read how that works in our article on the commission.
Frequently asked questions
How much does the kilometre cost with MoviSur?
The app does not work with a per-kilometre price you have to multiply: it shows you the total for the ride before you confirm.
Is there a night or weekend surcharge?
Whatever you see on screen is already the final price for the ride, whatever the time.
Can the price change if there is traffic?
No. The number you see before confirming is what you pay.
Can I see the price without requesting the ride?
Yes. Enter the destination and the price appears before you confirm; you are not committed to going ahead.
From when does it work?
Rides start on 1 November 2026. The app can already be downloaded from the passengers section.
